The best thing about working at startups and small agencies, is that you often get asked to wear a lot of hats. Throughout my career, I've had great opportunities to test my skills in Marketing, Technology and Planning. Here are just a few examples that I can share.

Staffluent

Staffluent
staffluent.com

Staffluent was co-founded by me and 3 other members of the 2014/2015 Philly Startup Leaders (PSL) cohort. Staffluent was conceived in the PSL Bootcamp program and launched during the Accelerator program. Staffluent.com uses Responsive HTML/CSS as well as AngularJS as for underpinnings of the mobile and web platform.

Kendall Bowden

Evolution

Evolution Medical Communications
evolutionmedcom.com

The Evolution team often turns to me for help with marketing and technology. Recently I helped them through the process of refreshing their brand, which included strategic planning to help the founders rewrite their mission statement; copywriting to create a new foundation of language about the agency's capabilities; as well as imagery (including this ad that was created as part of their launch campaign).

The Evolution brand relaunch included efforts to take the new direction as a basis for the structure of their corporate website. I provided assistance with information architecture, SEO and HTML/CSS/JS programming and all copy writing.

SimpleSwipe

SimpleSwipe
simpleswipe.com

SimpleSwipe created interactive kiosks for exhibitors at hundreds of events. Our interactive kiosks frequently included dramatic splash screens, automatically populated registration screens, surveys and instant follow-up emails.

SimpleSwipe provides exhibitors with dozens of detailed reports about attendee activities, including demographic information, areas of interest, activities triggered within the visit, requests for resources and more.

Springloaded

Springloaded
getspringloaded.com

Springloaded creates secure barcoded badges for events and provides a mobile app for iPhones, iPads and iPod touch devices to scan and capture leads. Technologies include: HTML, CSS, JS, Jquery, Jquery Mobile, Cordova / PhoneGap, Xcode, Ruby, Rails, JSON, IOS, Google APIs and more.

Procurian

Procurian
(HTML email campaign)

Procurian marketing team needed to create a series of HTML emails for their existing customers and prospects to keep them informed about their latest offerings. Most of Procurian's customer base reads their mail through Microsoft Outlook, which limited the design options for the email (as they wanted all customers to experience the same look and feel). I created a series of templates for them to use with Eloqua, to match a series of print documents they had recently created, and we tested campaigns across the email applications that their customers most frequently use. Technologies included: HTML, CSS, Photoshop and more.

DirectSupplyCenter

DirectSupplyCenter
directsupplycenter.com(offline)

The DirectSupplyCenter team asked me to help them bring their idea for a new business to life. They needed everything: from a logo, to a website, to a functioning quote system that would allow customers to pay by credit card. And they needed a quick turnaround time. Technologies included: Photoshop, HTML, CSS, Responsive Web Design, JS, SKELjs, Jquery, Font-Awesome icons, Google Fonts, PHP, Sendmail and SMTP configuration, SSL, VB, SQL, Git, Stripe API, AJAX, JSON and more.

Closet City

Closet City
closetcity.com

Closets and Cabinetry by ClosetCity asked me to help them redesign their website from a one page site, to a fully functional marketing presence. I created a site diagram, wireframes, and complete script as well as images to be used throughout the site. Technologies used: Photoshop, HTML, CSS, WordPress, and more.

Wish-Cake

Wish-Cake
wish-cake.com (domain no longer active)

At the height of the cupcake craze I helped Amanda Schirk launch her own business with an ecommerce enabled website that allowed customers to place orders for customized cupcakes. Users could pick the flavors of the cake and the type of frosting, as well as mix-ins and decorative toppings. Amanda baked over ten thousand cupcakes for customers around the Philadelphia area for weddings, birthdays, baby showers and hungry cupcake-cravers. She later closed the site down to focus on being a new mom, but people still send her email requests for cupcakes. Technologies used: HTML, CSS, VB, ASP, SQL, Google Checkout, Wordpress, Photoshop, and more.

GiftRunner

GiftRunner
giftrunner.com (domain no longer active)

In 2007 I partnered with 1-800-Flowers to create a website that would allow people to send a gift even if they only knew their friend's screenname, but not their address. GiftRunner was a patent-pending idea that was ahead of its time. Technologies used: HTML, CSS, VB, SQL, Authorize.NET, XML, Photoshop and more.

So in conclusion ...

These are just a few examples of my work. If you have questions about my past projects, or are interested in my capabilities, please feel free to contact me to learn more.
